What Is a Broadcast
A broadcast sends a message to many customers at once — perfect for announcements, promotions, and updates. It reaches every selected contact from your WhatsApp number (or a number from the same account) in a single campaign, while keeping each message personal and direct to the recipient.
Send a Broadcast
- 1
Open the Campaigns section
From the dashboard, go to Campaigns and click "New Campaign". Then choose "Broadcast" as the campaign type.
- 2
Pick your audience
Select the contacts you want to reach. You can choose a saved list, apply tags, or upload a CSV. WA Orbit shows the exact number of recipients before you send.
- 3
Write your message
Draft your message using an approved WhatsApp template. Business-initiated WhatsApp broadcasts require a pre-approved template. You can personalize with variables like the customer name.
- 4
Choose delivery timing
Send immediately or schedule it for a specific date and time. You can also set a time window so messages only go out during business hours.
- 5
Review and launch
Check the recipient count and a test preview, then click "Launch". WA Orbit starts sending and you can follow progress on the campaign dashboard.
Broadcast vs. Regular Message
Tip
Broadcast messages to customers must use a pre-approved WhatsApp template. Plan and submit your template early so your campaigns are never held up waiting for approval.
