Trello Integration

Overview

The Trello integration lets you connect your Trello workspace to WA Orbit so that incoming WhatsApp messages can automatically create cards on your boards. Your support, sales, or operations teams can then triage, assign, and track those tasks — all from their existing Trello workflow.

WA Orbit uses the Trello API under the hood. Once connected, you can select which board and list new cards land in, map WhatsApp message data to card fields, and optionally add labels or members automatically.

How It Works

1. Connect your Trello account — go to More → Integrations → Trello and authorize WA Orbit to access your Trello workspace.
2. Pick a board and list — select the board and list where new WhatsApp-triggered cards should be created.
3. Configure triggers — choose which incoming WhatsApp messages create Trello cards (e.g. all messages, messages with certain keywords, or messages forwarded by your team).
4. Map fields — map the WhatsApp sender name, phone number, and message body to the Trello card title, description, and labels.
5. Automated card creation — from then on, matching WhatsApp messages automatically create Trello cards with the mapped data, ready for your team to pick up.

• Lead tracking — sales inquiries from WhatsApp land on your sales board as actionable cards.
• Task handoff — customer feedback from WhatsApp becomes a task card, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
• Order issue resolution — complaints about orders automatically create prioritized cards on your ops board.

Requirements

• A Trello account with at least one board and list.
• WA Orbit account with an active integration plan.
• WhatsApp number connected to WA Orbit.
