Integration
Slack Integration
Send WhatsApp messages straight from a Slack channel with a slash command — no need to switch tabs into WA Orbit for a quick reply.
Explore IntegrationsWhat It Does
- Run
/wa send name: messagein Slack to send a WhatsApp message to a contact by name. - The send goes through your normal WA Orbit sending pipeline — your connected number/engine, pacing, logging — exactly like sending from the app.
How to Set It Up
- In WA Orbit, open Integrations and choose Slack.
- Create a Slack app in your Slack workspace (
api.slack.com), add a Slash Command, and point its Request URL at the WA Orbit Slack command endpoint shown on the integration page. - Copy your Slack app's Signing Secret into the WA Orbit Slack integration settings so requests can be verified.
- Install the app to your Slack workspace and try
/wa send John: Hi therein any channel.
How It's Secured
Good to Know
- The contact name in the command is matched against your WA Orbit contacts. If there is no match, Slack shows an error reply.
- Availability of the integration can depend on your plan.
- Looking to receive events out of WA Orbit into your own systems instead? Use the Webhook integration.
