Google Drive & Docs Integration

Overview

Connecting Google enables two flow-builder nodes — Google Drive and Google Docs — that let you move document creation and file management into automated WhatsApp workflows. The Drive node handles file picking, copying, and sharing. The Docs node copies a template document and replaces text placeholders with variables from the flow.

Google Docs Flow Node

The Docs node copies a selected Google Doc template into a new file and replaces {{placeholders}} with flow variables.

1. Drop a Google Docs node onto your flow canvas.
2. Click Select file — the file picker shows the Google Docs files accessible to the connected account.
3. Enter a File name (defaults to "Copy of [Template name]").
4. Set Placeholders — match the {{placeholders}} in your template to flow variables. Use the Data wheel to drag variables into the right-hand column.
5. Optional: Turn on Share the new file and set a recipient address to send the file via Google Drive's built-in sharing.
6. The Document link output is automatically set to the new file's sharing URL, ready to send downstream.

Google Drive Flow Node

The Google Drive flow node lets you select an existing file from your connected Drive account, then either copy it or share it with someone — directly inside an automated flow.

• Select file — opens the file picker showing Google Sheets, Docs, and Forms accessible to the connected account.
• Copy — duplicates the selected file and saves it to the specified location, or the same folder by default.
• Share — optionally share the copied file with a recipient address (person or group). Permissions default to Viewer but can be changed to Editor or Commenter.

Common Use Cases

• Auto-generate invoices from order data, fill placeholders, and send the PDF link back via WhatsApp.
• Copy a job offer letter template, fill in candidate details, and share the file with the hiring manager.
• Look up a Google Sheet row to get customer data, then generate a personalized document and send it.
